We have a large freshwater tank with 14 fish in it- two goldfish, two fantails, two black-moors, 7 minnows, 2 plecs and an apple snail.
Last night I went to bed and all fish were there. This afternoon I notice one is missing! We have looked everywhere, wondering if it could possibly have jumped out (though it?s not been inclined to try that before). Nothing. We dont have any other pets either (boo!) and all the windows have been closed. So, . . .
Where has my fish gone??????
Could the other fish have eaten this one and left NO evidence whatsoever? Is that possible?
This happend to my fish once. I looked every where in the tank and on the floor. I could not find him anywhere! then 4 months later I found him on the floor;( Sorry to hear about your fish and I hoped this helped.
Thank you,
Maritza
The same thing happened to two of my fish and they both disappeared at the same time i came to a conclusion that they had most likely been eaten or got stuck in a part of the scenery. Its very unlikely that they got sucked in to the filter as most filters have a gard over them. With the snail in there that would have probably cleaned up any remainders of the fish if it had been eaten by the other fish.
OMG! When I was in 5th grade, we had 2 fish in our classroom. one was a big goldfish and the other was a smaller black fish. Then a few days later we saw that the smaller black fish was gone, and we checked all of the tank, but it wasnt there. We thought that the goldfish ate it :p Turns out, it got sucked into the filter So keep looking! Fish don?t just disappear
Most likely is that the fish was smaller and eaten. though it could of got sucked into the filter, is hiding under something or just died. fish do that sometimes!
It probobly did get eaten especially if it was one of the smaller fish or its just a fish issue same fish you just cant have in the same tank
It prolly got eaten. No, they won?t leave any evidence. They?ll eat the whole thing.
Maybe you should get different fish?
It is possible it ate the fish, what isthe biigest fish you have in your tank?
Get two large tiger oscars and then you will see first hand how fish disappear?
It probaly ate it if it was smaller
Could have been eating, check out filter too :/ [[it might be in there]]
Your Hubby had it on toast for breakfast.
one of them most likely ate it
it was ate by a bigger fish
